Psychiatry’s Ashley VanDercar and Phillip Resnick examine violence risk factors in psychiatric populations

Ashley VanDercar, MD, forensic psychiatrist and assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and Phillip Resnick, MD (ADL ’59, MED ’63), professor of psychiatry and former director of the Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, recently published a comprehensive review of violence risk factors in psychiatric populations.

Their article, titled “Violence Risk Factors in Psychiatric Populations,” outlines recent data on both risk and protective factors affecting these populations.
