Psychological sciences’ Lauren Calandruccio named 2026 recipient of the American Speech Language Hearing Foundation Spirit of Philanthropy Award

Lauren Calandruccio, professor of psychological sciences and director of the Communication Sciences Doctor of Philosophy Program at Case Western Reserve University, was named the 2026 recipient of the American Speech Language Hearing Foundation Spirit of Philanthropy Award.

This award is given to individuals who show deep dedication through long-term volunteer work, fundraising and personal commitment to support the foundation’s mission to support innovators—students, researchers and clinicians—and spark innovation in communication sciences.

As the 2026 recipient, Calandruccio was recognized for her commitment to service, mentorship, expertise and generosity.
