Early identification is one of the most effective tools in threat assessment, as recognizing warning signs as early as possible creates more opportunities to intervene, provide support and prevent harm.
To foster a safer and more supportive campus environment, the Division of Public Safety at Case Western Reserve University is pleased to offer upcoming complimentary Behavioral Pattern Recognition Training.
This 90-minute training is especially beneficial for CWRU faculty and staff who serve in front-facing roles or regularly interact with students, employees, patients and visitors and may encounter situations where recognizing behavioral warning signs can make a meaningful difference.
In addition to gaining the skills to recognize behavioral patterns, participants will also learn to identify body language and other early warning indicators that may signal potential safety concerns.
To accommodate varying schedules, four identical sessions will be offered:
- Wednesday, July 29, from 9 to 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, July 29, from 1 to 3 p.m.
- Thursday, July 30, from 9 to 11 a.m.
- Thursday, July 30, from 1 to 3 p.m.
All sessions will be held in Schmitt Auditorium in Millis Hall (2074 Adelbert Rd). Employees only need to register for and attend one session.
