Faculty associate Lisa Damour recently joined the Schubert Center for Child Studies as a senior adviser.
Damour is the author of The New York Times bestseller Untangled: Guiding Teenage Girls Through the Seven Transitions into Adulthood. She also directs the Laurel School’s Center for Research on Girls, writes a column for The New York Times’ “Well Family” online report, serves as a regular contributor to CBS News, maintains a private psychotherapy practice and consults and speaks internationally.
As senior adviser to the Schubert Center, Damour will retain her adjunct appointment in the Department of Psychological Sciences.
She brings a multitude of talents to the Schubert Center and will advise the center’s communication and translation strategies in bridging research, practice, policy and education.
