WEWS: Tim Black, associate professor of sociology at the College of Arts and Sciences, discussed the new trend of harassment—even threats—of school board members. “It’s what happens in times of crisis,” Black said, noting the the combination of crises like the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and racial injustice have all brought opposing political voices to the surface.
