Provost Ben Vinson III invites members of the university community to submit nominations for honorary degrees. This honor recognizes people whose work exemplifies the highest ideals and standards of “excellence in any valued aspect of human endeavor, including the realm of scholarship, public service and the performing arts.”
The honorary degree committee, chaired by the provost, includes a member from each faculty and University Marshal Carol Musil. Nominations must be submitted, preferably by email to lois.langell@case.edu, by Friday, Nov. 2, in order to be reviewed during the 2018 fall semester.
The nominee should not be informed of the nomination. Current faculty, staff or Board of Trustees members are not eligible for an honorary degree.
