1970s

David Walbert (LAW ’72) authored the book Stealing Elections, American Style (Bloomsbury Academic), which provides explanations about voting rights issues.

William Stewart (WRC ’75) teaches a night class through the Community Learning Program with Arlington Public Schools in Arlington, Virginia.

Jim Bildner (LAW ’79) authored the book A Matter of Hope: Lessons Learned from Leaders, Changemakers, and Visionaries on Making a Difference in the World (Matt Holt Books).


1990s

George Askew (MED ’90) is a member of the board of directors of Grandparents for Vaccines, a nonprofit that works to protect children from vaccine-preventable illnesses.

Peter Slater (LAW ’92) is a partner in the Private Client Services Group at the Cincinnati, Ohio, law firm Keating Muething & Klekamp.

Leena Bahl Palomo (CWR ’96, DEN ’00,’04) of Pepper Pike, Ohio, is president of the American Board of Periodontology. The board provides credentials in periodontology and implant dentistry and membership certifies the highest levels of training, competency and ethics in periodontology.

Mark Grabowski (CWR ’99) of New York City authored a new edition of the textbook Cyber Law and Ethics Regulation of the Connected World (Routledge). He is a professor and chair of the Communications Department at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. 


2000s

George Sales (MGT ’00) is associate dean of the Dnipro campus of American University Kyiv in Ukraine. Sales supports students in the pursuit of global business opportunities while collaborating with university leadership to fuel academic excellence, student engagement and a variety of partnerships.

Diego Grauman (MGT ’05) is vice president and head of medical affairs at Geron Corp., a biopharmaceutical manufacturer focusing on the treatment of blood cancers. Grauman lives in Miami. 


2010s

Julia Bianco (CWR ’16) authored Witch Season (St. Martin’s Press), her debut novel, which tells of a group who provides refuge to unsettled witches in Los Angeles, and the coven’s conflict with its rival. Bianco had previously received multiple television screenwriting credits, and served as a U.S. assistant to director John M. Chu for the 2024 film Wicked.


2020s

Jacob Hailperin-Lausch (LAW ’20) is an associate attorney at the Cleveland office of the law firm Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP.

Lauren Garretson (LAW ’20) joined the Ogletree Deakins law firm as an associate, where she practices employment law.

Mike Bellissimo (GRS ’23, management) is an assistant professor at the International Maritime Business School at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
