Tune into CWRU’s upcoming Talking Foreign Policy radio show
In January, the Trump Administration held a ceremony to launch the Board of Peace, a new international organization designed to implement peace in Gaza and other conflict areas. Described as President Trump’s alternative to the United Nations, some argue its controversy.
On Tuesday (March 24), Case Western Reserve University’s Talking Foreign Policy radio show, hosted by Michael Scharf, former dean of the School of Law, and a panel of experts will discuss the board. During this episode, they will weigh in on what the Board of Peace is and its prospects for success and potential risks.
Panelists will include:
- Harold Hongju Koh, former dean of Yale Law School, former assistant secretary of state, and former state department legal adviser;
- Milena Sterio, Distinguished University Professor at Cleveland State University College of Law and managing director of the Public International Law & Policy Group;
- Leila Sadat, professor at Washington University School of Law and chair of the American branch of the International Law Association; and
- Jess Peake, director of the International and Comparative Law Program at University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, and a former prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and defense counsel at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia.
