Burcu Gurkan, the Kent H. Smith Professor II at Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and Robert Savinelli, Distinguished University Professor and the George S. Dively Professor of Engineering at Case School of Engineering, are set to receive awards at the fall Electrochemical Society meeting in late October.
Gurkan will receive the Charles W. Tobias Early-Career Award, which recognizes outstanding scientific and engineering work in fundamental or applied electrochemistry or solid-state science and technology by an early-career scientist or engineer.
Savinelli will be presented with the Edward Goodrich Acheson Award, which honors distinguished contributions to the advancement of any objects, purpose or activity of the Electrochemical Society.
