CWRU student’s AI startup wants to stop sports injuries before they happen

Crain's Cleveland Business: Undergraduate computer science student Sanjay Thiyagarajan discussed his invention, Smartan FitTech, which uses AI and wall-mounted cameras to catch tiny form errors before they become injuries. Thiyagarajan said it acts “like a dedicated coach…giving instant form corrections,” inspired by his own ACL and rugby injuries. He said CWRU’s ecosystem has been “crucial” to building the platform.
