Spectrum NewsJonathan Ernest, assistant professor of economics at Weatherhead School of Management, noted that egg prices are climbing again, nearing $4 per dozen—up from $2.14 last year—due to bird flu and holiday demand. “Egg prices aren’t a clear economic indicator—restricted supply is the main driver, and prices may ease with healthier flocks,” he said.
