CNBC: Jonathan Ernest, assistant professor of economics at Weatherhead School of Management, noted that recession fears are rising, and inflation could climb if President Trump enacts new tariffs. Ernest warned a stimulus now “is not quite going hand in hand with current monetary policy” and could slow the Fed’s inflation fight. He also questioned its alignment with deficit reduction.
