The New York Times: Susan Helper, the Carlton Professor of Economics at Weatherhead School of Management, said automation can increase productivity by reducing the need for human labor. However, she cautioned that without thoughtful implementation, it could result in fewer workers performing less engaging, lower-paying jobs rather than broadly sharing the gains from increased productivity.
