Welcome incoming students at CWRU Clap-In event
Join the Case Western Reserve University community in giving our incoming first-year and transfer students an unforgettable welcome as they begin their CWRU journey.
After the incredible energy and success of the annual Clap-Out tradition, the Office of Orientation and New Student Transitions is excited to introduce a new tradition—Clap-In—to create a memorable and meaningful start to students' first day on campus.
On Monday, Aug. 17, starting at 3:30 p.m., members of the CWRU community are invited to the Case Quad to cheer on our newest students and their families as they make their way to the University Welcome and Convocation in the Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center.
Individuals interested in participating are encouraged to wear CWRU Blue and other university gear and gather on the Case Quad at 3:15 p.m.
Spirit supplies and welcome signs will be provided. Attendees are invited to bring their own pom-poms, noisemakers and other items that show CWRU spirit. Following the Clap-In, be sure to attend the University Welcome and Convocation at 4 p.m.
