Eligibility
In order for a you to be eligible for an Orientation Leader position, you must:
- Be in good academic standing with the university.
- Be in good judicial standing with the university.
Selection Process
In order for you to be considered for an Orientation Leader position, you must:
- Attend an Orientation Leader Information Session
- Submit an Orientation Leader Application
- Attend an Orientation Leader Interview
Information Sessions
If you are interested in becoming an Orientation Leader you must attend one of the mandatory virtual Information Sessions to learn about the OL position, time commitments and how to apply to become an Orientation Leader. There are 2 different Information Sessions based on whether or not you have already served as an OL at Case Western Reserve University. All times are U.S. Eastern unless otherwise noted.
New applicants
Fall Semester Dates
- New OL #1 – Tuesday, December 1: 6-6:30 p.m.
- New OL #2 – Wednesday, December 2: 12-12:30 p.m.
- New OL #3 – Monday, December 7: 12-12:30 p.m.
Spring Semester Dates
- New OL #4 - Friday, January 15: 1-1:30 p.m.
- New OL #5 - Tuesday, January 19: 7-7:30 p.m.
- New OL #6 – Wednesday, January 20: 12-12:30 p.m.
- New OL #7– Sunday, January 24: 2-2:30 p.m.
- New OL #8 – Monday, January 25: 6-6:30 p.m.
- New OL #9 – Tuesday, January 26: 5-5:30 p.m.
- New OL #10 – Wednesday, January 27: 8-8:30 p.m.
- New OL #11 – Thursday, January 28: 6-6:30 p.m.
Returning applicants
Fall Semester Dates
- Returning OL #1 - Monday, November 30: 6-6:30 p.m.
- Returning OL #2 – Thursday, December 3: 5-5:30 p.m.
- Returning OL #3 - Monday, December 7: 1-1:30 p.m.
Spring Semester Dates
- Returning #4 – Friday, January 15: 1:30-2 p.m.
- Returning #5 - Wednesday, January 20: 6-6:30 p.m.
- Returning #6 – Thursday, January 21: 5-5:30 p.m.
- Returning #7 – Sunday, January 24: 1-1:30 p.m.
If you are planning on attending one of the Orientation Leader Information Sessions, please register for the event on CampusGroups by selecting a date listed above.
Application
Once you attend an Orientation Leader Information Session, you will be sent a unique link to the Orientation Leader Application via your CWRU email account. Applications will open on Monday, November 30, 2026.
The deadline to complete and submit the online application:
- Returning Orientation Leaders: Monday, January 25, 2027 at 12:00 p.m. (noon)
- New Orientation Leaders: Sunday, January 31, 2027 at 11:59 p.m.
Interview Process
Following review of your application you may be offered an interview for the Orientation Leader position. Orientation Leader Interviews will take place at the below times. You will be asked to indicate your interview availability during the online application.

- Sunday, February 7, 2027
- New Orientation Leaders:
- Wednesday, February 24, 2027
- Thursday, February 25, 2027
- Friday, February 26, 2027
- Saturday, February 27, 2027
Additional Note
If selected for an Orientation Leader position for 2027, please note you will need to complete a Student Employment Packet (if you haven't already done so), which requires you to complete the I-9 Form. To complete the I-9 Form, students will need to have original forms of identification (Passport, Driver's License, Social Security Card, etc.) with them to present to Student Employment when submitting paperwork in person.
