Did you know there is an entire team dedicated to equipping you with the skills and resources you need to succeed in your classes?
Academic Resources can connect you to a variety of programs, learning tools and more, designed to maximize your learning and provide you with opportunities to be your best self, especially in the classroom.
Do you know your learning style? They offer an assessment to help you find the best approach to coursework.
Do you need help with time management or improving your test taking? They offer a number of tools and services, as well as success workshops. Academic Resources is also your connection to peer tutoring and Supplemental Instruction on campus.
Peer Tutoring
Peer tutors are students who are trained to work with you on an individual or small-group basis. Tutors can help clarify course content and assignments, and help with your studies through solving practice problems. A tutor can help you reinforce what you already know, model new ways of learning, monitor your progress over several sessions and help you get ready to ask specific questions of your professor. Scheduling tutoring appointments is easy to do with TutorTrac.
Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction (SI) provides regularly scheduled, student-facilitated study sessions for traditionally challenging courses at CWRU. SI sessions are free, and your participation is completely voluntary. Attending sessions allows you to ask questions, review notes, practice problems and prepare for exams in a relaxed environment.
