Doctoral student Braveheart Gillani investigates COVID-19’s impact on the mental health of gender diverse patients in recent article

Braveheart Gillani, a doctoral student at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, recently released a new publication about “Telehealth in Trans and Gender Diverse Communities: the Impact of COVID-19,” published by Springer Link in April 2022. Gillani worked alongside MetroHealth physician Laura J. Mintz and Scott E. Moore, professor at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. 

Gillani’s article reviews current research on telehealth and the impact of COVID-19 on transgender and gender diverse patients, whose mental health has been disproportionately affected by the pandemic.
