Mandel School researchers published in "The Journal of Community Practice"

The Journal of Community Practice published an article titled, “Toward authentic university-community engagement,” written by researchers from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. 

Authors of the article are: Mark G. Chupp, an associate professor at the Mandel School and the founding director of the Community Innovation NetworkJames P. Graulty, program manager of the Community Innovation Network at the Mandel School; and Adrianne M. Fletcher, assistant dean of diversity and inclusion at the Mandel School.

In the publication, which appeared Nov. 1, the authors propose a model of authentic university-community engagement that builds reciprocity and trust between members of the community and university and increases their capacity to collaboratively problem-solve.
