Case Western Reserve University's Board of Trustees has promoted Associate Professor Robert L. Fischer to full professor effective July 1, 2024. His outstanding research contributions and dedication have led to this well-deserved promotion.
Fischer, who earned a PhD and a master's in public policy from Vanderbilt University, has been an integral part of the Mandel School since 2001. His journey started as a senior research associate and, over the years, his scholarship and contributions led to his promotion to associate professor with tenure in 2017. This promotion to full professor is a testament to his continuous growth and commitment to our community.
As the director of the Center on Poverty and Community Development, Fischer's scholarly pursuits have had a profound impact on our community. His work centers around evaluating interventions in nonprofit organizations; it has illuminated evaluation dynamics within nonprofit sectors and enhanced evaluation methods using complex integrated data.
"His generous contributions to the Mandel School, CWRU and our community partners have left an indelible mark," said Dean Dexter Voisin.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Fischer on this significant career milestone. We will formally acknowledge his achievement in the fall.
