Students must have the equivalent of a four-year bachelor’s degree in a field related to physics, including engineering physics, biomedical, electrical, mechanical, and materials engineering.
There are no minimum GPA requirements, as these greatly vary across the world. For International PEP candidates, the minimum TOEFL is 100 for the Entrepreneurship Track. Personal interviews via telephone and videoconferencing are required. Although we strongly recommend international students to take the general GRE, the physics GRE is NOT required for our program.
PLEASE NOTIFY PEP DIRECTOR EDWARD CANER IF YOU PLAN TO APPLY.
For fall semester (late August) matriculation, completed applications must be submitted by March 26 in order to be considered for tuition support. After March 26, admission is on a rolling basis with a deadline of August 15, except for students who require a new visa for study in the United States (e.g., F-1), in which case the deadline is May 1.
Please see the Application page on the Department of Physics web site. Please note that the above minimum requirements and deadlines apply only for PEP students. Admission is on a rolling basis.
