Fall 2026 Intersections Poster Symposium!

The Undergraduate Research Office will host the Fall 2026 Intersections Poster Symposium on Friday, December 4, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM in the Veale Convocation, Recreation, and Athletic Center.

Any undergraduate student participating in CWRU or CWRU affiliated faculty-mentored research and/or creative projects is eligible to register for Intersections. Research can be at any stage of the process, from initial exploration to final findings.

Overview of the Registration Process

Deadline: Please complete and submit your registration—including the final abstract—by Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 11:59pm. NOTE: Do not start a submission without having all elements that are required ready to be submitted (this includes the abstract). This is a one step process.

Abstract Requirements: Your abstract must be 300 words or fewer, provide a succinct overview of your work, and comply with the Abstract Guidelines. Abstracts will appear in a published Abstract Compendium.

Groups: If presenting as a group (2 or more people), select one representative to submit on behalf of the team. Groups are restricted to ONE registration submission.

Approval Requirement: Your submission must be approved via the Campus Groups workflow by the Faculty Member Overseeing the Research/Principal Investigator no later than Monday, November 9, 2026, at 11:59pm. Unapproved submissions will not be eligible to participate. If the PI or the Undergraduate Research Office (URO) sends back edits, corrections must be made within 48 hours.

Questions should be directed to the URO by email.

Review the full Registration Process on the Registration Information page.

Update on Event Judging

The Undergraduate Research Office is excited to launch a brand-new award process in Spring 2027 (details forthcoming) to recognize outstanding undergraduate research contributions! As part of this transition, awards will no longer be tied to Intersections, allowing the symposium to focus entirely on sharing student research and creative endeavors across campus without URO-sponsored live poster judging during the event.
