Steward university funds appropriately
The Case Western Reserve University Administrative Professional Series (CAPS) provides training on the policies and procedures that direct employees’ stewardship of university funds. The series is comprised of three online and ten in-person courses, regarding topics such as:
- PeopleSoft Financials;
- Departmental accounting;
- Sponsored projects;
- Purchasing;
- Travel policy; and
- Interpersonal communication.
Full and part-time employees at CWRU may enroll in CAPS courses. The CAPS series is not an accredited academic program.
Employees who complete the CAPS curriculum may test for the Certificate of Achievement in Financial Management. Alternatively, employees can enroll in the courses that are of interest to them—without taking the final exam.
Specific CAPS courses are required for anyone requiring access to the Accounts Payable, eProcurement and General Ledger modules of PeopleSoft Financials.
