xLab hosted its first ever Members’ Day in September, a couple weeks into the semester. Representatives from Hyland Software, Progressive Insurance, Avery Dennison, and KeyBank were invited to join xLab faculty and students on campus for an entire day dedicated to digital innovation and responsible technology. xLab Faculty Director Youngjin Yoo began the day with an interactive workshop about decentralized web architecture and why it’s essential for the next wave of digital innovations. Student teams then presented their project kick off directly to their company representatives, while prospective member companies met with xLab faculty to discuss future collaborations with the university. At the end of the day, company representatives and xLab students and prospective students mingled for a networking happy hour.
