Is a fixed route, fixed stop transportation option which is available to all CWRU students, faculty, and staff, University Circle and Hospitals employees and patrons. There are different shuttle buses which operate within the geographical areas which surround CWRU, University Hospitals and University Circle. This service is also available to service members of our community. Six routes run concurrently to link all corners of the campus with most destinations in between.
The Safe Ride program consists of a dedicated van intended to safely transport CWRU students, faculty and staff around the University Circle area during the evening and nighttime hours. The program is designed to supplement other transport and escort services on campus such as the shuttle buses. The Safe Ride service is available from 7pm until 3am every day and can be accessed by calling (216) 368-3000. Be prepared to give your name, location and final destination. You can ask the dispatcher what the estimated time of arrival for the van might be.
The service area for the Safe Ride van goes from Wade Park Avenue to the north, Coltman Road to the east, East 101st Street to the west and to the intersections of Mayfield/Kenilworth and Cedar/Fairmount to the south. If you are ill or intoxicated please contact CWRU PD dispatch at (216) 368-3333 to get the assistance you need. The Safe Ride van is not intended to be a medical transport service
