Nichola Bomani is a native Clevelander and alumna of the Cleveland School of Science and Medicine at John Hay, just a block away from Case Western Reserve. As a Rocks Fellowship recipient, Nichola traveled the country to collect narratives of U.S. Latina/x Muslims. Her goal in this project was to help build confidence and strengthen the identities of women in the U.S. Latina/x Muslim community and to better understand her own place in that community. She created a blog to showcase the women’s narratives and journal her experiences throughout the project. Nichola currently attends Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and plans on becoming a primary care physician.
