The oldest programmed campus tradition, Hudson Relays is an annual 26-mile relay through campus intended to commemorate Western Reserve College’s move from Hudson, Ohio, to the University Circle neighborhood of Cleveland.
The relay’s route originally took runners from University Circle to Hudson, but since 1990, the race has taken place entirely in University Circle—with the winning classes memorialized on a rock outside of Adelbert Hall.
