Samia Mansour works for a non-profit organization based in Cleveland as the Community Development Strategist. Prior to completing the Facebook Digital Marketing Certificate program with Case Western Reserve University, Mansour felt that “much of what I was doing was based on intuition and what I thought I knew about social media and the digital marketing world generally.” After seeing an ad for the CWRU certificate program, Mansour realized, “I wanted to have some knowledge to back up my claims and support my hypotheses about what best practices are or should be.”
Mansour is no stranger to Case Western Reserve University, as a 2017 graduate of the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, she knew she could expect a high-quality educational opportunity in the Facebook Digital Marketing program. “My experience with the course was excellent and it exceeded my expectations,” Mansour explained, “I liked being able to work at my own pace, with weekly emails to remind me about where I should aim to be each with my work. The Pathstream technology was very user-friendly, and I appreciated all of the different modalities used in the lessons to appeal to different types of learners.”
Upon completion of the program, Mansour’s plan was to implement what she learned within her existing job, “I feel more confident in my knowledge about digital marketing, and I am definitely more assertive in suggesting changes and making recommendations for how our organization should utilize the digital world. My colleagues now look to me as more of an expert in the field.”
When asked if she would recommend the program to others, Mansour concluded, “the program will give you a solid foundation in concepts and how to apply them to your work.”
