Research Interests
My long-term goal is to effectively use peripheral nerve simulation to use against neurological conditions including spinal cord injury. Currently we are working on 3D reconstruction of human vagus and sciatic nerve at the meso and microanatomical level using microCT, MRI and various histological techniques. The outcome will facilitate novel peripheral nerve stimulation electrodes and stimulation parameters to activate the target myotome without or with minimal off target effects.
