Our Master of Science degree program in systems and control engineering provides students with the essential skills and tools to combine the efforts of several engineering fields. At the Case School of Engineering you’ll learn to efficiently analyze, optimize, control, and design complex systems that are all around us. 

In our program, you’ll conduct research in linear and nonlinear control, optimization, signal processing, and energy systems. Our high-quality research labs give our students, faculty and partners the ability to conduct groundbreaking projects and create long-term solutions.

Meet Our Faculty

Graduate students will be admitted upon recommendation of the faculty of the Department of Electrical, Computer and Systems Engineering. The standard requirements include a strong record of scholarship in a completed bachelor’s degree (BS) program in any of the engineering, mathematical or physical sciences, and fluency in written and spoken English. 

Pursue independent research, strengthening your ability to synthesize and apply knowledge learned both in the classroom as well as through independent study. We provide an environment of scholarship and professional participation to build your confidence and help you connect and interact with scientists and engineers globally.


Program Format 

Our curriculum is designed to elevate your career and strengthen your foundation in physical science and mathematics. Students have the choice to pursue a thesis-focused (Plan A), project-focused (Plan B), or course-focused (Plan C) degree pathway.

Engineering graduate degrees are administered by the university's School of Graduate studies. Visit them online to apply and learn more about admissions requirements, deadlines and more. The GRE, while encouraged, is currently not required for applicants for this program.
