Additional Information

Nicole Bort, DNP, AGPCNP, DCNP is a board-certified Adult/Gerontology nurse practitioner and a certified dermatology nurse practitioner who joined University Hospital in 2018 from her prior position as a dermatology nurse practitioner in private practice.  She obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio with her project focus on strengthening dermatology education to primary care nurse practitioners.  Dr. Bort is currently the Program Director of the two- year University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center based Nurse Practitioner Post Graduate Training Program and serves as a clinical instructor in the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.

She has published several journal articles and co-authored a book chapter on acneiform eruptions in the only comprehensive textbook designed to emphasize dermatology education for primary care providers.  Dr. Bort utilizes her knowledge and skills to nationally lecture on dermatological conditions for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the Dermatology Nurse Practitioners Certification Review Course, and several universities across the country.  Her clinical practice is general dermatology with a special interest in treating patients with hidradenitis supprativa.  

Nicole provides general dermatology care at University Hospitals in Brunswick, Ohio; North Ridgeville, Ohio; and Ashland, Ohio.
