The goal of the curriculum offered through the Graduate Education Office (GEO) is to promote core competency-based training across programs in the School of Medicine. This training aims to ensure that students acquire essential professional knowledge and skills. By developing and applying core competencies through curricular opportunities offered through the GEO, all students will be well-prepared for a diverse array of employment opportunities upon graduation. Additionally, this approach helps standardize training across SOM programs and promotes equity while mitigating biases, thereby improving the student experience.
