Fellowships

Case Western Reserve University Department of Radiology’s physicians and staff know that knowledge and continuous education are vital aspects of growth and development. We provide a variety of learning opportunities and specialized services with fellowship opportunities in multiple divisions. Along with comprehensive clinical training, fellows are directly involved in education of residents and medical students.

Abdominal Imaging

Abdominal Imaging offers a one year fellowship for two fellows per year. Fellows will examine specialized abdominal imaging cases as well as perform ultrasound and CT guided interventions including biopsies, fine-needle aspiration, and abscess drainage among others. Obstetric and gynecologic studies are also included in the fellowship program as a dedicated rotation.

Breast Imaging

The Breast Imaging Division offers two positions annually for a one-year comprehensive breast imaging fellowship according to the guidelines and curriculum recommended by the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI).

Musculoskeletal Imaging

The Musculoskeletal Imaging Division in the Department of Radiology at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University, consists of 8 full-time, fellowship trained radiologists and offers a comprehensive one-year clinical fellowship with two fellows accepted per year. Our division has a long-standing excellent relationship with the orthopedic surgery and rheumatology departments.

Neuroradiology

The Neuroradiology Fellowship is geared towards training a clinical neuroradiologist with a well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of neuroradiology in a one or two-year fellowship program.

Nuclear Medicine

The fellowship program meets all training requirements recommended by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Our division consists of four full-time nuclear medicine subspecialty trained academic faculty and over 20 specialized nuclear medicine technologists. We share a strong commitment to education, expressed through training of radiology fellows, residents, and medical students.

Vascular And Interventional Radiology

Vascular and Interventional radiology offers a one-year fellowship for one position per year that studies all facets of vascular and interventional imaging procedures. Fellows will have the opportunity perfect their skills in a wide variety of interventions offered at our institution.
