5 questions with Weatherhead’s Iris Gebby, Class of 2026
This week, Case Western Reserve University celebrates the graduating Class of 2026 at commencement ceremonies. More than just a ceremony, these celebrations are a testament to the hard work, dedication and perseverance of the graduates as they reach this milestone and begin their careers or continue their education.
As members of the Class of 2026 look ahead to the next chapter, we caught up with Iris Gebby, a marketing student at Weatherhead School of Management, about her experience at CWRU and her journey thus far.
Answers have been lightly edited for length.
1. What initially drew you to CWRU?
The high-quality education at Weatherhead, along with the wide range of opportunities both on and off campus.
2. What course or campus experience most shaped your education?
All of the MGMT 395 advanced seminar courses had a meaningful impact on my education in different ways. Each course helped me develop a unique skill set, and the intimate seminar format allowed me to build strong connections with my peers.
3. What is your favorite memory at CWRU?
My time studying abroad in New Zealand during my junior year spring semester. Specifically, the two-week road trip I took with friends.
4. What's next for you after graduation?
I'm planning to take a remote marketing position for a local business and relocate abroad.
5. What advice would you give students in your program?
Learn from your peers. Students at CWRU, especially in Weatherhead, bring diverse backgrounds and strong motivation to their work. There’s something special to learn from everyone, so take advantage of that.
