Elina Gertsman, a professor in the Department of Art History ad Art, received one of two inaugural Karen Gould Prizes from the Medieval Academy of America, awarded for a distinguished book in the field of medieval art history. The award is for her recently published monograph, Worlds Within. Opening the Medieval Shrine Madonna.
Christina Maranci, professor at Tufts University, also received the prize for her monograph, Vigilant Powers.
