What if dark matter doesn’t actually exist?
Gizmodo: Stacy McGaugh, professor and director of astronomy at the College of Arts and Sciences, said mass discrepancies in galaxies assume current gravity is complete; if not, revised laws such as Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) could replace dark matter and already match some observations. Still, most experts say dark matter remains the simplest explanation despite a lack of direct proof.
