Residents hope for relief after EPA finds toxic gas in Mentor sewers

WEWS: John Protasiewicz, the Hurlbut Professor of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences, said that even in low concentrations, hydrogen sulfide can be dangerous. Mentor residents are encouraged by recent efforts by the Environmental Protection Agency to reduce hydrogen sulfide from sewer gas in a local subdivision.
