The Social Justice Institute is accepting applications for its 2018-19 social justice research fellowships. Awards are given to faculty members and undergraduate and graduate students interested in receiving support for research or projects related to social justice in any discipline.
Social justice is defined as eradicating systems of power and oppression with the purpose of advancing fairness and equality through the redistribution of resources and opportunities, and exalting human dignity and respect.
The following funding amounts are offered:
- Faculty: up to $10,000
- Graduate students: up to $3,500
- Undergraduate students: up to $2,000.
- Airfare to the site of the research;
- The cost of housing at the site of the research;
- Program supplies for projects;
- Stipends to be paid to research participants/interviewees;
- Printing costs for study-related materials; and
- Data sets.
