The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program’s next Conversations at Judson Park event will be held Monday, Nov. 12, from noon to 1 p.m. at Judson Park (2181 Ambleside Dr.).
Elina Gertsman, professor in the Department of Art History and Art, will present “Medieval Art at the Cleveland Museum of Art.”
Her lecture will explore the highlights of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s world-renowned collection of medieval art.
Attendees will learn about:
- The Jonah marbles;
- The Byzantine textile icon;
- The objects that form part of the Guelph Treasure;
- Romanesque and Gothic sculptures;
- Late medieval paintings and manuscripts; and
- The famous fountain automaton.
