Engineering's Jonathan Steirer casts doubt on Canada's ability to weaken U.S. energy grid amid trade feud

The Associated Press: Jonathan Steirer, Interim Director of the Great Lakes Energy Institute at Case School of Engineering, explained that high-usage customers such as data centers or universities could receive curtailment orders requiring them to take themselves off the power grid and use alternate electricity sources such as backup generators if the trade war between the U.S. and Canada escalates. But many of those customers are already doing such practices voluntarily during certain parts of the day.
