First-year BSN students begin their nursing journeys
The annual stethoscope ceremony was held on Sept. 10, marking the start of their nursing career.
First-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students at Case Western Reserve University’s Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing officially started their path to becoming nurses on Sept. 10 with the annual stethoscope ceremony. The Class of 2030, the largest BSN cohort in school history, received their stethoscopes, a tradition marking the beginning of their nursing journey.
“Today marks more than the beginning of your nursing education,” said Dean Ronald Hickman, PhD, RN (CWR ’00; NUR ’06, ’13; GRS ’08), in his opening remarks. “It marks your entry into a profession built on knowledge, compassion, courage and trust. As the largest BSN cohort in our school’s history, you now join generations of Frances Payne Bolton nurses who have improved lives, strengthened communities and led healthcare forward.”
