Career development is a process that begins well before graduation. As students return to campus this fall, families can encourage them to take small, meaningful steps toward exploring their interests, building professional relationships and preparing for future opportunities.
The Center for Career Success is offering several opportunities in September to help students begin building their professional foundation:
- Day on the Quad – Sept. 17: Students can meet employers, learn about different organizations and career opportunities, and begin making professional connections in a relaxed setting.
- Night of Networking – Sept. 23: Students can practice introducing themselves, asking questions and building relationships with employers before the Career Fair.
- Fall Career Fair – Sept. 24: Students can connect with a diverse range of employers and explore internships, full-time positions and career opportunities across industries and majors.
Families can support students by encouraging them to take initiative, try new experiences and use the resources available to them on campus. Whether a student is exploring career possibilities or actively seeking an opportunity, these experiences can help them build confidence, resilience and the professional skills they will carry with them beyond CWRU.
