Alabama Reflector: Cassandra Burke Robertson, the John Deaver Drinko - BakerHostetler Professor of Law, called the Department of Justice's criminal case against the Southern Poverty Law Center "an abuse of the criminal law," noting that paying confidential informants is standard law enforcement practice. She added: "I would be absolutely shocked if it went all the way to a conviction."
