Hahn Professor of Law and co-director of the Law-Medicine Center, said the Consumer Product Safety Commission's plan to collect identifiable emergency room records through a private contractor is troubling, warning it poses significant patient privacy risks and could allow sensitive health information to be misused, including for marketing.
