SNAP uncertainty trickles down to Ohio small businesses

Spectrum News: Robert Fischer, the Grace Longwell Coyle Professor in Civil Society and director of the Center on Poverty and Community Development at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, said Ohio’s $25 million relief fund will have limited impact, covering “two to three days’ worth of money” for the state’s 1.4 million SNAP recipients. He added that SNAP spending has a “dramatic” ripple effect, calling it a $100 billion program nationwide.
