Health Radar (pg. 9): Karem Harth, assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, explained how treating varicose veins today is much less invasive than years ago. “Most therapies today can and should be performed with a minimally invasive approach, and can be performed in an office setting as an outpatient. Advances in endovenous therapies have largely replaced open stripping and ligation,” said Harth.
