MSN: Susan Nedorost, professor at the School of Medicine, said that allergic contact dermatitis from clothing is usually caused by disperse dyes that are primarily used in synthetic clothing materials like polyester and nylon. The chemical may be present at higher levels in new unwashed articles of clothing.
