Three contact lens mistakes that eye doctors wish you would stop making

The Washington Post: Thomas Steinmann, professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, warned that contact lenses can trap harmful organisms against the cornea, making serious infections more likely—especially after swimming, showering or sleeping in lenses. He emphasized that overnight wear is unsafe and called daily disposable lenses the “gold standard” for reducing infection risk.
