Market Realist: Susan Nedorost, dermatology professor at the School of Medicine, shared the reasons why you should wash new clothes before wearing them. “By washing new clothing, you might remove a little extra dye and so have a lower exposure,” she said. In some rare cases, these dyes can leak into someone's bloodstream and they could cause a lifetime allergic reaction.
