An article by Jon Niemi and other lab members from CWRU School of Medicine neurosciences department was published by peer-reviewed neuroscience journal eNeuro in February.
Niemi and colleagues’ article, “The Conditioning Lesion Response in Dorsal Root Ganglion Neurons Is Inhibited in Oncomodulin Knock-Out Mice,” investigates the role of molecule Oncomodulin on the conditioning lesion response, a phenomenon in which growth after a peripheral nerve lesion is enhanced as the result of a prior cerebral injury.
