Daily Mail:  Lindsay Malone, registered dietitian and instructor in the Department of Nutrition at the School of Medicine, warned that acai bowls can become surprisingly high in calories and sugar when loaded with sweetened ingredients. She recommended unsweetened acai, berries, protein and fiber, while limiting granola, which she calls a major source of “calorie creep.”
